by Kai Saarto
Description:
Ernesto "Che" Guevara (1928 - 1967), commonly known as el Che or simply Che, was an Argentine Marxist revolutionary, physician, author, guerrilla leader, diplomat, and military theorist. A major figure of the Cuban Revolution, his stylized visage has become a ubiquitous countercultural symbol of rebellion and global insignia in popular culture.
About Kai:
In order to spend more time with his family, Kai Saarto (b. 1974) traded his successful career in journalism for the uncertain income of an artist. He paints exclusively on digital oils, with results that are virtually impossible to tell from a real oil paintings.
Most of his artistic work is privately commissioned portraits, but he also has an ever expanding portfolio of prints. These are from various subjects, including street scenes, landscapes, military equipment and works inspired by video games.
Kai Saarto lives in city of Turku, Finland, with his wife, sons and two crazy springer spaniels.

What Did Jesus Look Like?
________
What do you think of Che Guevara?
Do you think he is cool?
________
________
Yeah.
________
________
Tell me in your opinion why is the portrait of Che Guevara regarded as so iconic?
What is the main reason?
________
PAUSE:
________
________
Come on now, tell the truth, What is the real reason?
________
________
Because he looks Christlike.
________
________
Do you think he does?
________
________
Yes.
________
________
What did Jesus look like?
________
________
Long hair, beard and robes.
________
________
Mary the mother of Jesus was travelling along the road, When she realised Jesus was not with her. She was disconsolate, as any mother would be at the thought of her 12 year old child missing, so she and the rest of the family back tracked in search of him.
When they found him he was in the temple with a group of rabbis and preachers telling them about the Bible and they were astounded that a child so young should have such a knowledge.
In the Bible it says men should have short hair, Jesus would have known such from an early age and as likely as not he would have had short hair.
The fact is Che Guevara does not look like Jesus. Che Guevara looked like a hairy hippy.
________
________
Ha, ha, ha
But everyone knows Jesus had long hair.
________
________
Read the Bible and there you will find it written.
________
________
But every image of him shows him with long hair.
________
________
That’s because Renaissance artists depicted him in such a way, then everyone copied the style and that is why you now think he had long hair. Have you ever thought of how Jesus might look if you saw him?
________
________
How?
________
________
With long hair.
________
________
But I thought you said he would have short hair.
________
________
Well imagine Jesus in heaven, with his Armani suit on, he looks in his wardrobe and thinks, shit I have to put my robes on and have long hair and a beard otherwise those bastards down there will not recognise me.
________
________
Ha, ha, ha.

Intimidation Factor: JESUS CHRIST by April Moen
09/15/2014
The Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth is one intimidating fellow.
And by fellow, of course, I mean "Holy Creator God of all time, space, and existence." (What's so intimidating about that, right?)
By all biblical accounts, Jesus is loving, accepting, and eminently approachable. But as an artistic subject, He is the most intimidating thing of all - a complete and total enigma.
There is no mention of anything close to resembling a physical description of Jesus in the Bible. In fact, the only thing it contains about His appearance is that He was not a good looking guy. That's it.

About April:
I was born in 1977 with a pencil in my hand, and I remained perfectly content with that medium until 1999 when I got my first computer. I taught myself the basics of Photoshop on a discount copy of PS Elements 7 (trust me, it's downright primitive), and haven't looked back since. After studying Digital Design at The Art Institute, my repertoire expanded to include vector illustrations and digital painting. Now I work as a freelance graphic designer, but my true passion is creating freehand and digital art pieces to share with the world. I hope you enjoy them.
In my personal life, I am married to a wonderful man, am blessed with an awesome son, and I give all the glory to God. He reigns!

Geordie,
Thank you for the beautiful song. It's OK, I didn't see mine until after 20 years and going through a hard place.
Leah,
The important thing is you saw it and know what it is regardless of what others may think although some may see it too. I see it and know it is possible. The neat thing about yours is it's permanent!
________
Geordie Gardiner
@ Suzanne Poweers
_____
Hello Suzanne I also know it is possible, I have seen "it" on numerous occasions.
When I ask, what is it?
The question is not addresses to you Suzanne but should you be inspired to give an answer please feel free.
To get back to the question, what is it?
IT is something that many psychiatrist do not believe in, though they do believe in their own superior intellect.
As they do not believe in "IT" (as many obsessed with their mother) and having a high regard for their own intellectual capacity, they believe their beliefs cannot be questioned, they "put up" with "IT" believers, until one comes along and dares to stand up and tell the truth.
What truth?
The truth of an it believer
What "IT" believer?
That IT believer who claims to have stood by IT and spoken to IT.
There is no such thing as IT, so therefore they are delusional, LOCK THE BAR STEWARD UP - and don't let them out till they see it our way.

________
Geordie Gardiner
Ah that's great, that's great, so it is.
BTW I would love to feature "The Trilogy" so I would.
Not trying to be funny but it reminds me of Clint Eastwood.
Before, you know, I did not try to upset you, quite the reverse I thought it might bring a little smile on your face but people do not always understand things in the same ways.
Here is one that will bring a smile on your face.
My grandfather was one of the funniest men I have ever met, he was an old soldier who survive the First World war, he had a great love of animals and during his time in the army he was in the Royal Artillery and commanded a team of horses that pulled the artillery around the battlefield.
Once he left the army the places he lived in was filled with pets. cats and dogs mainly and he also kept champion racing pigeons.
One cat he named Sooner.
On occasion someone from around about would come in the house and say, Mr Jackson why did you call ye cat Sooner? And he would dryly take his pipe from his mouth and reply, because it would sooner s*it on the carpet than get outside.
________
And so there ye gan, that is for luck as well, so they say.
________
Good luck
All the best
And I pray
That one day You don't just get a trickle
But a flood
________
PS
Don't live where it rains a lot
And then I will have to pray
It's never cool
And always hot
________
Dear me
Wherever it is you live I just pray that you are a star
And
I am sure you are
________
Sooner Photo
Geordie...LOL! What can I say after that :) Your welcome to the Trilogy, it was one of my first pics :)

Comedy Cat - Robin Williams - July 21, 1951 - August 11, 2014
The fact that he brought so much joy into the lives of so many people makes the particular way he left this life so sad.
Dear Lord,
Forgive his sin
And let him find Nanoon Nanoon in another world
I ask this Lord in and through our Saviour Lord Jesus Christ
Amen

About Michael:
Hello! My name is Michael Volpicelli
I have always loved to draw and I remember that while still young, I enrolled in college courses still a junior in high school. It was very nerve-racking being the youngest person in the classroom but it really helped me to flourish as an artist. However once I started going to school for fine arts in college, September 11th hit and I ended up joining the military and took a break from my artwork for a while… Or so it would seem… While in the military I ended up designing certificates of appreciation, and creating works of art for my Sergeant Major’s, drill sergeants, and even fellow soldiers. I was the combat “artist” of 2/3 infantry, people used to joke. Later after leaving the military and after suffering a pretty bad injury I used my art to help me recover and I reenrolled back into Oklahoma State University. While here I went on to study at the Fine Arts and further learned to polish my work.
At the age of 30, and thanks to a lot of support received from my beautiful wife, I decided to further my artistic career. It was a tough decision because it can be difficult starting your own business while suffering from a back injury, but I would like to share my work with others, so that's what I plan to do!
Please Enjoy your visit to my page and hopefully you will see something you like! Please do not be afraid to comments ! I love all suggestions as long as they are positive!
Feel free to check out more of my work at facebook at the link above, I post a lot of progress pictures so you should be able to see my work as I am completing it.
