What Did Jesus Look Like?
________
What do you think of Che Guevara?
Do you think he is cool?
________
________
Yeah.
________
________
Tell me in your opinion why is the portrait of Che Guevara regarded as so iconic?
What is the main reason?
________
PAUSE:
________
________
Come on now, tell the truth, What is the real reason?
________
________
Because he looks Christlike.
________
________
Do you think he does?
________
________
Yes.
________
________
What did Jesus look like?
________
________
Long hair, beard and robes.
________
________
Mary the mother of Jesus was travelling along the road, When she realised Jesus was not with her. She was disconsolate, as any mother would be at the thought of her 12 year old child missing, so she and the rest of the family back tracked in search of him.
When they found him he was in the temple with a group of rabbis and preachers telling them about the Bible and they were astounded that a child so young should have such a knowledge.
In the Bible it says men should have short hair, Jesus would have known such from an early age and as likely as not he would have had short hair.
The fact is Che Guevara does not look like Jesus. Che Guevara looked like a hairy hippy.
________
________
Ha, ha, ha
But everyone knows Jesus had long hair.
________
________
Read the Bible and there you will find it written.
________
________
But every image of him shows him with long hair.
________
________
That’s because Renaissance artists depicted him in such a way, then everyone copied the style and that is why you now think he had long hair. Have you ever thought of how Jesus might look if you saw him?
________
________
How?
________
________
With long hair.
________
________
But I thought you said he would have short hair.
________
________
Well imagine Jesus in heaven, with his Armani suit on, he looks in his wardrobe and thinks, shit I have to put my robes on and have long hair and a beard otherwise those bastards down there will not recognise me.
________
________
Ha, ha, ha.

Intimidation Factor: JESUS CHRIST by April Moen
09/15/2014
The Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth is one intimidating fellow.
And by fellow, of course, I mean "Holy Creator God of all time, space, and existence." (What's so intimidating about that, right?)
By all biblical accounts, Jesus is loving, accepting, and eminently approachable. But as an artistic subject, He is the most intimidating thing of all - a complete and total enigma.
There is no mention of anything close to resembling a physical description of Jesus in the Bible. In fact, the only thing it contains about His appearance is that He was not a good looking guy. That's it.

About April:
I was born in 1977 with a pencil in my hand, and I remained perfectly content with that medium until 1999 when I got my first computer. I taught myself the basics of Photoshop on a discount copy of PS Elements 7 (trust me, it's downright primitive), and haven't looked back since. After studying Digital Design at The Art Institute, my repertoire expanded to include vector illustrations and digital painting. Now I work as a freelance graphic designer, but my true passion is creating freehand and digital art pieces to share with the world. I hope you enjoy them.
In my personal life, I am married to a wonderful man, am blessed with an awesome son, and I give all the glory to God. He reigns!
